My friend/family member plays on a little league team that is representing Hawaii in the final on the mainland. Would Hawaiian Airlines cover the team’s travel or waive baggage fees?

We are excited for our youth athletic teams that have the opportunity to play outside of Hawaii.  Our program is focused on serving communities in the areas of Culture, Education, Environment or Health & Human Services.   Competitive athletics would not fall under any of these categories.  We would encourage your group to contact our Group Reservations desk at 800-367-5320 for group rates and special group provisions.

My daughter is representing Hawaii in a pageant in Las Vegas, would Hawaiian Airlines sponsor her airfare to the competition?

Our Team Kokua Giving Program supports organizations or events within our communities that service the larger community. Since we have limited funds, we are encouraged to give to a broader purpose.

Hawaiian Airlines has sponsored many of my events over the past decade, but my request from the Team Kokua Giving Program was recently denied. Please explain why.

We are happy that we were able to help your organization in the past. Our new program focuses our giving efforts and the new process allows a committee to review each request on an individual basis. Just because your organization has received donations in the past, this does not mean you have a better chance of receiving future donations. Please note that the new program also only allows for one donation per organization per calendar year. If you have already received a donation this calendar year, you will not be eligible for another donation until the next calendar year. The Review Committee is diligent about reviewing all requests and will not approve duplicated gifts within the same calendar year.

My business is organizing a golf tournament for a reputable non-profit organization. Would the Team Kokua Giving Program donate to our tournament?

One of the main objectives of our Team Kokua Giving Program is to foster and build relationships with organizations within the communities we serve. The donations we grant are on behalf of our employees and given directly to the organization/event that is benefiting from the gift.

The email address that my Employee Sponsor gave me is not working in the form, but my Employee sponsor swears that it’s the correct email address. Why isn’t this working?

Please confirm with your Employee Sponsor that the address you’re submitting in the form is the address they have on file in their HawaiianMiles account. This may be different from their corporate email address. If they do not remember their email address associated with their HawaiianMiles account, they can log into their account and reset their email address.

I noticed that the form is requesting that I have a Hawaiian Airlines Employee sponsor. How do I go about getting one?

Yes, all requests must be sponsored by an active Hawaiian Airlines Employee. Our Hawaiian Airlines Employees are the driving force behind our program and we only consider supporting organizations and events that our employees are actively involved and engaged in.

Your system wouldn’t let me select my actual event date so I chose the next available date. How does this affect my application?

A minimum of 45 days is required for all requests. We ask for this amount of time specifically so our Review Committee can meet and decide on approved requests, and for our team to follow up with the donation in ample time before your event. All requests that are within 45 days of the date needed, no matter what date was selected within the application form will be automatically denied.
