Randall L. Jenson has been a member of our Board of Directors since July 2004.
Jenson was appointed as our chief financial officer (CFO), treasurer and secretary in June 2004. He resigned as secretary effective as of July 2005 and as CFO and treasurer as of November 2005. In July 2011 he was appointed and currently serves as president and CFO of Berkadia, a company engaged in the origination and servicing of commercial mortgages that is a joint venture of Berkshire Hathaway and Leucadia National Corporation. He is co-founder and currently serves as president of Ranch Capital, LLC, which was formed in 2002 to pursue investments in undervalued or distressed assets or companies.
From May 1997 to October 2002, he served in various capacities in or at the direction of Leucadia National Corporation. From August 1999 to April 2002, Jenson served as the president and CEO of American Investment Bank N.A., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Leucadia National Corporation. He served as a director of the bank from August 1998 to April 2002.
Jenson received a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Utah (1991), and has a master's degree in business administration from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration (1997). Jenson serves as a member of the Audit Committee and the Governance and Nominating Committee.
Jenson's familiarity with our business from his prior service as our CFO and treasurer allows him to contribute to the Board of Directors a valuable perspective on the financial operations of our business.
