Tom Zheng was appointed vice president - technical operations business planning and services at Hawaiian Airlines in February 2023.
Zheng is responsible for Hawaiian’s operations analytics, the freighter line of business with Amazon, as well as various business functions in support of maintenance and engineering, flight operations and supply chain management.
Zheng joined Hawaiian in 2009 as a senior project manager before becoming a director of strategic initiatives. He previously served as managing director of business planning and initiatives in technical operations. Prior to Hawaiian, Zheng was a management consultant for Deloitte, and also worked for American Savings Bank and AT&T where he was a distinguished member of the technical staff and principal engineer.
He holds a Master of Business Administration degree with honors from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Science degree from the New York University Tandon School of Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science degree in applied mathematics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
