Hawaiian #1 On-Time, No Flight Cancellations in January

HONOLULU – March 15, 2012 - Hawaiian Airlines was the nation’s most reliable carrier at keeping travelers on schedule during January, highlighted by the industry’s best on-time performance and a perfect record of zero flight cancellations.

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) today issued its Air Travel Consumer Report for January showing that Hawaiian’s flights arrived on time at a rate of 93.1 percent throughout the month to secure the DOT’s #1 ranking.

Even more impressively, none of Hawaiian’s 5,859 flights were canceled during January.

Hawaiian is the largest provider of air service to Hawaii from the Western U.S. with daily nonstop flights from 10 gateway cities on Airbus A330-200 and Boeing 767-300 aircraft, making it the only carrier to use wide-body, twin-aisle aircraft for all transpacific flights.

Hawaii’s largest and longest-serving carrier is also the leading provider of air service between Honolulu and the neighbor islands of Kauai, Maui and Hawaii Island.
