HONOLULU, December 15, 1998 -- In systemwide service during November 1998, Hawaiian Airlines recorded Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs) of 345,467,000, an increase of 17.3 percent from 294,634,000 RPMs reported for the same month in 1997.

Available Seat Miles (ASMs) in November 1998 were 460,474,000, an increase of 9.6 percent from 420,061,000 ASMs recorded in November 1997.

Systemwide Load Factor (LF) in November 1998 was
75.0 percent, an increase of 4.9 points from 70.1 percent in November 1997.

Hawaiian carried 431,028 passengers in November 1998, an increase of 4.7 percent from 411,554 passengers reported for November 1997.

Year-To-Date

For the first 11 months of 1998, Hawaiian recorded total RPMs of 3,976,199,000, an increase of 3.7 percent from 3,834,386,000 RPMs recorded for the same period in 1997.

Through November, total 1998 ASMs were 5,188,868,000, an increase of 4.5 percent from 4,967,090,000 ASMs recorded for the first 11 months in 1997.

Average 1998 systemwide Load Factor through November was 76.6 percent, a decrease of 0.6 point from 77.2 percent for the same period in 1997.

Hawaiian carried a total of 4,834,785 passengers during the first 11 months of 1998, an increase of 0.5 percent from 4,809,434 carried during the same period in 1997.
