HONOLULU – Mar. 13, 2006 - Hawaiian Airlines announced today the appointment of Kirk Smith as vice president of marketing and sales.
Smith has been with Hawaiian since December 2003 serving previously as senior director of advertising and promotions. With his added responsibility, Smith will oversee Hawaiian's sales efforts, while continuing to lead its marketing and promotional programs as well.

His deep experience and contacts in the travel industry have allowed us to make dramatic inroads in our markets by leveraging key partnerships, sponsorships and promotional opportunities.”
Smith has been a sales and marketing executive of Hawaii travel for more than 34 years, and has a diverse background in creating innovative and comprehensive multi-media programs to reach travel consumers in Hawaii, the mainland U.S., and internationally.
Smith moved to Hawaii in 1966 to attend the University of Hawaii and study fine arts, before embarking on a career in marketing and promotions.
