HONOLULU – Aug. 15 - Hawaiian Airlines announced
today that Susan Manfredi has been appointed managing director of inflight services, a new position.
With more than 20 years of experience in the airline industry, Manfredi brings considerable experience and knowledge to Hawaiian’s leadership team. She will be responsible for creating a supportive environment for Hawaiian’s 1,250 flight attendants while continuing to advance the company’s culture of excellence in customer service, inflight product, and safety.
“Our flight attendants are the best in the industry and as Hawaiian grows its operations, Susan gives us the management skills to help assure that we will continue to deliver on the service quality experience that our customers enjoy so much,” said Louis Saint-Cyr, Hawaiian’s vice president of inflight services. “We are proud to have someone with her background join our team.”
Prior to joining Hawaiian, Manfredi served as a senior
director of inflight service at Spirit Airlines where she was responsible for the training, administration, development and implementation of policies and procedures for 525 flight attendants in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Before that, Manfredi spent five years at AirTran Airways as vice president of inflight service, leading a team of six management personnel and 2,200 flight attendants.
Manfredi began her airline career as a flight attendant at Hughes Airwest. She then worked for Republic Airlines and American Airlines as a flight attendant. She later joined Northwest Airlines where she served as a manager of customer service, assistant manager of inflight service and flight attendant manager. She earned a B.S. degree in Mathematics from Georgia State University and an M.S. degree in Administration from Central Michigan University. She is a native of Reno, Nevada.
