Hawaiian Airlines Makes Hawaii Fun More Affordable with Activities Card

Only Carrier Serving Hawaii to Offer this Cost-Saving Program

HONOLULU – Jul. 17, 2006 - Coming to Hawaii can now be more fun – and affordable – for travelers with the introduction of the Hawaiian Airlines Activities Card.

The new pre-paid activity card offers unlimited access to participating attractions and activities on the island of Oahu – while providing big savings on admissions. Hawaiian plans to add neighbor island activities as well.

“We're giving Hawaii travelers more choices to take the hassle out of vacation planning,” said Ethan Lynette, Hawaiian's senior director of partner marketing. “Rather than visiting multiple travel sites to plan a vacation in the islands, they can save money purchasing their air, car, hotel and now activities through Hawaiian's website.”

Hawaiian is the only carrier serving Hawaii to offer visitors the cost-saving benefits and convenience of the activity card. The card is available to anyone and can be purchased on Hawaiian's website, HawaiianAirlines.com, under the “Activities” button.

The card is easy to use, flexible and the cost savings are impressive. A selection of 1-day, 2-day, 3-day, 5-day and 7-day activity cards is offered, with prices starting at $23 per day (for a 7-day card). The card is activated only for the day it is used for admission to an attraction or for a discount on shopping and dining, but can then be used for as many activities that day as the cardholder wants and need not be used on consecutive days.

The array of high-quality activities on Oahu taking part in Hawaiian's new program is notable – and growing. More than 25 tours and attractions are currently signed up, including Sea Life Park by Dolphin Discovery, Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park, and Bishop Museum. A complimentary guidebook about the destination and activities is also provided and special offers are often included.

“Families using the activity card can literally save hundreds of dollars if they plan to visit several activities or attractions during their trip,” added Lynette.

Hawaiian also offers pre-paid activity cards for Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, and Seattle, with more destinations planned for the mainland U.S. Hawaiian Offers Concierge Service for Travel Comforts In addition to the activities card, the Hawaiian Airlines Concierge Service offers a broad range of activities, attractions and timesaving services for mainland visitors.

Travelers can customize their Hawaii vacation experience by choosing from a wide variety of activities to book in advance, including a luau, historical tour, or outdoor adventure. Reservations can be scheduled for dinner, golf tee time or spa appointment, and arrangements made for transportation and the transfer of luggage.

An especially popular service offered by Hawaiian for arriving passengers is a traditional Hawaii lei greeting. Commented Lynette, “Getting a fresh flower lei and friendly greeting as you step off the plane is the perfect way to say ‘Welcome to Hawaii.' Visitors really appreciate it.”

The concierge program is part of Hawaiian's ongoing commitment to make air travel even more rewarding and “hassle-free.” Customers receive a detailed activity itinerary and have access to a dedicated concierge staff that coordinates services and provides assistance.

The concierge service is also available online by visiting online at HawaiianAirlines.com and clicking the “Activities” button.
