HONOLULU, August 27, 1997 -- The board of directors of Hawaiian Airlines, Inc. (ASE and PE: HA) has appointed Lyn F. Anzai to the position of Vice President - General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. The appointment was announced by Paul J. Casey, Hawaiian Airlines president and chief executive officer.
In her new position, Anzai will be chief legal officer for the company and secretary for the board of directors.
Anzai was previously senior counsel for Kamehameha Schools Bishop Estate, a perpetual private educational trust with assets of more than $2 billion.
A graduate of Mills College, the University of Hawaii and the University of Hawaii William S. Richardson School of Law, Anzai has been an attorney for 16 years. She served as a law clerk in U.S. Bankruptcy Court and Federal Court in Honolulu before joining the firm of Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel.
Prior to her law training, she was with the East-West Center, a federally supported international educational institution in Honolulu. She is a member of the East-West Center's international board of governors.
