Hawaiian Airlines Presents Under the Modern Moon: Morimoto and Friends at Hawaii Food & Wine Festival

HONOLULU – Hawaiian Airlines, Hawai‘i’s largest and longest serving airline, is presenting an extraordinary evening of provocative culinary creations featuring the bounty of Hawai‘i from land and sea, prepared by 15 esteemed national and international chefs from nine different destinations throughout Asia and the Pacific.

Building on Hawai‘i’s unique East Meets West location in the Pacific, Hawai‘i Food & Wine Festival’s Under the Modern Moon: Morimoto and Friends Presented by Hawaiian Airlines is returning to The Modern Honolulu in Waikīkī on Thursday, September 5 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and will feature a star-studded line up of chefs and culinary masters including Hawaiian Airlines’ very own executive chef, Chai Chaowasaree of Chef Chai in Honolulu. The event will also feature top-tier mixologists and winemakers.

Chef Chai was appointed as Hawaiian Airlines’ executive chef in 2010 and since then has been a driving force behind its signature inflight meal program, bringing a fresh, pan-Asian approach to Hawaiian’s popular onboard cuisine that reflects Hawai‘i’s diverse cultural influences and perfectly complements the airline’s expanding international service. Based in Honolulu, Chef Chai is a nationally recognized, award-winning chef and owner of two popular Hawai‘i restaurants, Singha Thai Cuisine in Waikiki and Chef Chai in Honolulu.
