HONOLULU, January 12, 2000 - Hawaiian Airlines, Inc. (AMEX and PCX: HA) has promoted Blaine J. Miyasato to the new position of Vice President - Customer Services, effective January 16, 2000. He will report directly to company Executive Vice President - Operations and Service Robert W. Zoller.
In his new position, Miyasato will have complete management responsibility for the day-to-day activities of Hawaiian's airport customer service operations systemwide in addition to his current responsibilities for management of the company's In-Flight Services department, in-flight products and catering programs.
Born and raised in Hawaii, Miyasato began his career at Hawaiian in 1985 as a flight attendant. He was appointed Manager - Product Development in 1993 and subsequently served in management positions of increasing responsibility within product development, inflight and business process improvement areas. He was promoted to the position of Senior Director - Inflight Services, Product Development and Catering in February of 1998 and was named Vice President - In-Flight Services, Product Development and Catering in February of 1999.
