Hawaiian Airlines Promotes Miranda Scott Senior Director – Business Development

HONOLULU – Dec. 1, 2008 - Hawaiian Airlines announced today that Miranda Scott has been promoted to senior director – business development.

In her expanded role, Scott will be putting increased emphasis on creating new online business opportunities for the company at HawaiianAirlines.com. She is also responsible for generating revenue online through the offering of vacation packages and travel-oriented services on Hawaiian’s website, while managing the company’s online marketing partnerships.

“Hawaiian offers the airline industry’s most comprehensive service-oriented website and Miranda’s contributions have been vital to its evolution and the satisfaction customers enjoy with its use,” said Rick Peterson, Hawaiian’s vice president of sales and marketing.

Scott joined Hawaiian in April 2007 as director of business development and was tasked with overseeing the website’s new vacations packages program, managing the company’s online agency partners, and seeking new business strategies to increase online sales.

Before joining Hawaiian, Scott was a market manager for Expedia specializing in hotel sales and, prior to that, spent seven years with The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, most recently as leisure sales manager.
