Hawaiian Airlines Ranks #1 for On-Time Performance, Fewest Cancellations, and Fewest Oversales in September

HONOLULU – November 09, 2010 - Hawaiian Airlines scored the airline industry’s top rankings for on-time performance, fewest flight cancellations, and fewest oversales for the month of September, according to today’s release of the

Air Travel Consumer Report by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT).

 

Hawaiian led all carriers nationwide in punctuality for September, with 95.8 percent of its flights arriving as scheduled during the month. Hawaiian complemented its on-time reliability with the industry’s best record for fewest cancelled flights, with only two cancellations out of 5,484 total flights in September, or less than 0.1 percent.

 

In addition, Hawaiian ranked #1 for fewest oversales during the third quarter recording a perfect score of zero involuntary denied boardings of passengers (DOT reports oversales quarterly).

 

Hawaiian Airlines is the largest provider of air service to Hawaii from the Western U.S., as well as the leading carrier for interisland service between the islands of Hawaii.
