HONOLULU – March 12, 2012 - Hawaiian Airlines has reached a tentative agreement with the Association of Flight Attendants (AFA) on a new contract that would balance increased compensation for its flight attendants with gains in productivity for the company. The agreement, which is subject to a ratification vote by the company’s 1,280 flight attendants, extends through 2016.
Mark Dunkerley, Hawaiian’s president and CEO, commented, “Our excellent in-flight service is one of the hallmarks of our brand as the premier destination carrier to Hawaii. This agreement, which spans nearly five years, recognizes the contributions of our flight attendants and provides cost stability as we add flights between our islands and outside of our state.”
Voting on the tentative agreement is expected to take place over the next several weeks.
