Hawaiian Airlines Receives Second Extension from Boeing Capital Corp.

HONOLULU, June 19, 2003 -- Hawaiian Airlines, Inc., subsidiary of Hawaiian Holdings, Inc. (AMEX and PCX: HA), today announced that Boeing Capital Corp. (BCC) has granted the company a second extension of the 60-day period under Section 1110 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code during which no action may be taken on the part of the aircraft owner while the parties negotiate new lease terms. BCC had previously granted an extension from May 14 until June 27, 2003. Subject to court approval, the new expiration date will be July 31, 2003.

On March 21, 2003 Hawaiian Airlines filed a voluntary petition for reorganization under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Hawaii in Honolulu. The company is seeking to restructure agreements on 13 Boeing 717-200 aircraft and three Boeing 767-300ER aircraft it leases from BCC, both directly and through owner trust arrangements.
