Hawaiian Airlines Reports April Traffic Statistics

HONOLULU, May 15, 2000 -- In systemwide service during April 2000, Hawaiian Airlines recorded Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs) of 490,809,000, an increase of 23.6 percent from 396,981,000 RPMs reported for the same month in 1999.

Available Seat Miles (ASMs) in April 2000 were 589,228,000, an increase of 14.4 percent from 515,281,000 ASMs recorded in April 1999.

Systemwide Load Factor (LF) in April 2000 was 83.3 percent, an increase of 6.3 points from 77.0 percent in April 1999.

Hawaiian carried 534,922 passengers in April 2000, an increase of 16.9 percent from 457,618 passengers reported for April 1999.

Year-to-date

For the first four months of 2000, Hawaiian Airlines recorded RPMs of 1,768,405,000, an increase of 18.9 percent from 1,487,743,000 RPMs reported for the same period in 1999.

Available Seat Miles (ASMs) through April in 2000 were 2,315,561,000, an increase of 17.6 percent from 1,969,401,000 ASMs recorded during the same period in 1999.

Systemwide Load Factor (LF) during the first four months of 2000 was 76.4 percent, an increase of 0.9 point from 75.5 percent during the same period in 1999.

Hawaiian carried 2,038,257 passengers during the first four months of 2000, an increase of 11.8 percent from 1,822,428 passengers reported for the same period in 1999.
