HONOLULU, May 18, 1999 -- In systemwide service during April 1999, Hawaiian Airlines recorded Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs) of 396,981,000, an increase of 7.7 percent from 368,516,000 RPMs reported for the same month in 1998.
Available Seat Miles (ASMs) in April 1999 were 515,281,000, an increase of 11.7 percent from 461,411,000 ASMs recorded in April 1998.
Systemwide Load Factor (LF) in April 1999 was 77.0 percent, a decrease of 2.9 points from 79.9 percent in April 1998.
Hawaiian carried 457,618 passengers in April 1999, an increase of 4.1 percent from 439,553 passengers reported for April 1998.
Year-to-date
For the first four months of 1999, Hawaiian recorded total RPMs of 1,487,743,000, an increase of 10.5 percent from 1,346,542,000 RPMs recorded for the same period in 1998.
Through April, total 1999 ASMs were 1,969,401,000, an increase of 5.9 percent from 1,859,596,000 ASMs recorded for the first four months in 1998.
Average 1999 systemwide Load Factor through April was 75.5 percent, an increase of 3.1 points from 72.4 percent for the same period in 1998.
Hawaiian carried a total of 1,822,428 passengers during the first four months of 1999, an increase of 7.8 percent from 1,690,567 carried during the same period in 1998.
