HONOLULU, September 17, 1996 -- In systemwide service during August 1996, Hawaiian Airlines carried 500,604 passengers, an increase of 12.2 percent from 446,122 passengers reported for August of 1995.
Hawaiian recorded Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs) in August 1996 of 365,136,000, an increase of 5.7 percent from 345,575,000 RPMs reported for the same month in 1995.
Available Seat Miles (ASMs) in August 1996 were 449,366,000, an increase of 6.6 percent from 421,654,000 ASMs recorded in August of last year.
Systemwide Load Factor (LF) in August 1996 was 81.3 percent, a decrease of 0.7 points from 82.0 percent in August of last year.
Cargo Ton Miles (CTMs) flown in August 1996 were 3,662,000, an increase of 3.2 percent from 3,549,000 flown in August 1995.
Year-to-Date
Hawaiian carried 3,556,235 passengers during the first eight months of 1996, an increase of 7.8 percent from 3,299,614 carried during the same period last year.
Through August, Hawaiian recorded 1996 year-to-date RPMs of 2,597,632,000 an increase of 11.5 percent from 2,330,540,000 RPMs for the same period last year.
ASMs for the first eight months of 1996 were 3,388,562,000, an increase of 12.8 percent from 3,003,399,000 ASMs recorded for the same period last year.
Systemwide Load Factor for the January - August 1996 period was 76.7 percent, a decrease of 0.9 points from 77.6 percent during the same period last year.
Cargo Ton Miles recorded for the first eight months of 1996 were 32,663,000, an increase of 26.7 percent from 25,779,000 during the same period in 1995.
