HONOLULU, January 12, 2001 -- In systemwide service during December 2000, Hawaiian Airlines recorded Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs) of 447,527,000, an increase of 8.6 percent from 412,125,000 RPMs reported for the same month in 1999.

Available Seat Miles (ASMs) in December 2000 were 613,984,000, an increase of 5.6 percent from 581,247,000 ASMs recorded in December 1999.

Systemwide Load Factor (LF) in December 2000 was 72.9 percent, an increase of 2.0 points from 70.9 percent in December 1999.

Hawaiian carried 481,513 passengers in December 2000, an increase of 8.8 percent from 442,542 passengers reported for December 1999.

Fourth Quarter 2000 During the fourth quarter of 2000, Hawaiian Airlines recorded RPMs of 1,358,245,000, an increase of 7.6 percent from 1,261,940,000 RPMs reported for the same quarter in 1999.

Available Seat Miles (ASMs) during the fourth quarter were 1,828,125,000, an increase of 9.8 percent from 1,665,533,000 ASMs recorded during the fourth quarter of 1999.

Systemwide Load Factor (LF) during the 2000 fourth quarter was 74.3 percent, a decrease of 1.5 points from 75.8 percent during the same period in 1999.

Hawaiian carried 1,483,084 passengers during the fourth quarter of 2000, an increase of 5.0 percent from 1,413,130 passengers reported for the fourth quarter of 1999.

Year 2000 For the year 2000, Hawaiian Airlines recorded RPMs of 5,657,560,000, an increase of 15.9 percent from 4,880,100,000 RPMs reported for 1999.

Through December, total 2000 ASMs were 7,246,156,000, an increase of 14.6 percent from 6,320,744,000 ASMs recorded in 1999.

Average 2000 systemwide Load Factor was 78.1 percent, an increase of 0.9 points from 77.2 percent during 1999.

Hawaiian carried a total of 6,268,161 passengers during the year 2000, an increase of 9.8 percent from 5,707,182 passengers reported for 1999.
