HONOLULU, August 11, 2000 -- In systemwide service during July 2000, Hawaiian Airlines recorded Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs) of 549,573,000, an increase of 15.6 percent from 475,242,000 RPMs reported for the same month in 1999.

Available Seat Miles (ASMs) in July 2000 were 643,489,000, an increase of 15.2 percent from 558,722,000 ASMs recorded in July 1999.

Systemwide Load Factor (LF) in July 2000 was 85.4 percent, an increase of 0.3 percentage point from 85.1 percent in July 1999.

Hawaiian carried 595,633 passengers in July 2000, an increase of 9.1 percent from 546,045 passengers reported for July 1999.

Year-to-date
For the first seven months of 2000, Hawaiian recorded total RPMs of 3,317,548,000, an increase of 19.6 percent from 2,774,693,000 RPMs recorded for the same period in 1999.

Through July, total 2000 ASMs were 4,167,406,000, an increase of 16.7 percent from 3,571,520,000 ASMs recorded for the first seven months in 1999.

Average 2000 systemwide Load Factor through July was 79.6 percent, an increase of 1.9 points from 77.7 percent for the same period in 1999.

Hawaiian carried a total of 3,720,707 passengers during the first seven months of 2000, an increase of 12.4 percent from 3,309,709 carried during the same period in 1999.
