HONOLULU, July 14, 1997 -- In systemwide service during June 1997, Hawaiian Airlines recorded Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs) of 387,182,000, an increase of 15.7 percent from 334,765,000 RPMs reported for the same month in 1996.
Available Seat Miles (ASMs) in June 1997 were 450,093,000, an increase of 5.0 percent from 428,633,000 ASMs recorded in June 1996.
Systemwide Load Factor (LF) in June 1997 was 86.0 percent, an increase of 7.9 points from 78.1 percent in June 1996.
Hawaiian carried 448,417 passengers in June 1997, an increase of 1.3 percent from 442,626 passengers reported for June 1996.
Cargo Ton Miles (CTMs) flown in June 1997 were 4,216,000, a decrease of 0.9 percent from 4,255,000 flown in June 1996.

For the first six months of 1997, Hawaiian recorded total RPMs of 2,115,343,000, an increase of 10.5 percent from 1,914,067,000 RPMs recorded for the same period in 1996.
Through June, total 1997 ASMs were 2,766,120,000, an increase of 10.1 percent from 2,511,849,000 ASMs recorded for the first five months in 1996.
Average 1997 systemwide Load Factor through June was 76.5 percent, an increase of 0.3 points from 76.2 percent for the same period last year.
Hawaiian carried a total of 2,625,946 passengers during the first six months of 1997, an increase of 0.6 percent from 2,611,437 carried during the same period in 1996.
Cargo Ton Miles through June were 28,600,000, an increase of 14.8 percent from 24,913,000 for the first six months of 1996.
