Hawaiian Airlines Reports March Traffic Statistics

HONOLULU, April 13, 2001 -- In systemwide service during March 2001, Hawaiian Airlines recorded Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs) of 473,597,000, a decrease of 0.7 percent from 476,902,000 RPMs reported for the same month in 2000.

Available Seat Miles (ASMs) in March 2001 were 576,585,000, a decrease of 2.8 percent from 593,322,000 ASMs recorded in March 2000.

Systemwide Load Factor (LF) in March 2001 was 82.1 percent, an increase of 1.7 points from 80.4 percent in March 2000.

Hawaiian carried 538,654 passengers in March 2001, a decrease of 4.5 percent from 564,169 passengers reported for March 2000.

Year-To-Date
For the first three months of 2001, Hawaiian recorded total RPMs of 1,307,136,000, an increase of 2.3 percent from 1,277,596,000 RPMs recorded for the same period in 2000.

Through March, total 2001 ASMs were 1,708,327,000, a decrease of 1.0 percent from 1,726,333,000 ASMs recorded for the first three months of 2000.

Average 2001 systemwide Load Factor through March was 76.5 percent, an increase of 2.5 points from 74.0 percent for the same period in 2000.

Hawaiian carried a total of 1,487,903 passengers during the first three months of 2001, a decrease of 1.0 percent from 1,503,335 carried during the same period in 2000.
