Hawaiian Airlines Reports May Traffic Statistics

HONOLULU, June 14, 2001 -- In systemwide service during May 2001, Hawaiian Airlines recorded Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs) of 447,119,000, a decrease of 5.2 percent from 471,782,000 RPMs reported for the same month in 2000.

Available Seat Miles (ASMs) in May 2001 were 579,706,000, a decrease of 0.8 percent from 584,474,000 ASMs recorded in May 2000.

Systemwide Load Factor (LF) in May 2001 was 77.1 percent, a decrease of 3.6 points from 80.7 percent in May 2000.

Hawaiian carried 477,984 passengers in May 2001, a decrease of 8.5 percent from 522,666 passengers reported for May 2000.
