HONOLULU, December 19, 1997 -- In systemwide service during November 1997, Hawaiian Airlines recorded Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs) of 294,634,000, a decrease of 1.0 percent from 297,722,000 RPMs reported for the same month in 1996.

Available Seat Miles (ASMs) in November 1997 were 420, 061,000, an increase of 6.0 percent from 396,195,000 ASMs recorded in November 1996.

Systemwide Load Factor (LF) in November 1997 was 70.1 percent, a decrease of 5.0 points from 75.1 percent in November 1996.

Hawaiian carried 411,554 passengers in November 1997, an increase of 1.2 percent from 406,818 passengers reported for November 1996.

Cargo Ton Miles (CTMs) flown in November 1997 were 3,874,000, a decrease of 22.1 percent from 4,974,000 flown in November 1996.

Year-To-Date

For the first 11 months of 1997, Hawaiian recorded total RPMs of 3,834,386,000, an increase of 9.4 percent from 3,504,110,000 RPMs recorded for the same period in 1996.

Through November, total 1997 ASMs were 4,967,091,000, an increase of 6.9 percent from 4,646,008,000 ASMs recorded for the first 11 months in 1996.

Average 1997 systemwide Load Factor through November was 77.2 percent, an increase of 1.8 points from 75.4 percent for the same period last year.

Hawaiian carried a total of 4,809,434 passengers during the first 11 months of 1997, an increase of 1.7 percent from 4,728,188 carried during the same period in 1996.

Cargo Ton Miles through November were 50,681,000, an increase of 10.3 percent from 45,937,000 for the first 11 months of 1996.
