Hawaiian Airlines Reports October Traffic Statistics

HONOLULU, November 15, 1999 -- In systemwide service during October 1999, Hawaiian Airlines recorded Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs) of 442,152,000, an increase of 20.4 percent from 367,319,000 RPMs reported for the same month in 1998.

Available Seat Miles (ASMs) in October 1999 were 547,372,000, an increase of 14.0 percent from 479,966,000 ASMs recorded in October 1998.

Systemwide Load Factor (LF) in October 1999 was 80.8 percent, an increase of 4.3 points from 76.5 percent in October 1998.

Hawaiian carried 489,568 passengers in October 1999, an increase of 13.5 percent from 431,184 passengers reported for October 1998.

Year-to-date

For the first ten months of 1999, Hawaiian recorded total RPMs of 4,060,312,000, an increase of 11.8 percent from 3,630,732,000 RPMs recorded for the same period in 1998.

Through October, total 1999 ASMs were 5,202,582,000, an increase of 10.0 percent from 4,728,394,000 ASMs recorded for the first ten months in 1998.

Average 1999 systemwide Load Factor through October was 78.0 percent, an increase of 1.2 point from 76.8 percent for the same period in 1998.

Hawaiian carried a total of 4,783,620 passengers during the first ten months of 1999, an increase of 8.6 percent from 4,403,757 carried during the same period in 1998.
