HONOLULU, November 16, 1998 -- In systemwide service during October 1998, Hawaiian Airlines recorded Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs) of 367,319,000, an increase of 12.3 percent from 327,129,000 RPMs reported for the same month in 1997.
Available Seat Miles (ASMs) in October 1998 were 479,966,000, an increase of 14.3 percent from 420,046,000 ASMs recorded in October 1997.
Systemwide Load Factor (LF) in October 1998 was 76.5 percent, a decrease of 1.4 points from 77.9 percent in October 1997.
Hawaiian carried 431,184 passengers in October 1998, an increase of 4.8 percent from 411,518 passengers reported for October 1997.
Year-To-Date
For the first 10 months of 1998, Hawaiian recorded total RPMs of 3,630,732,000, an increase of 2.6 percent from 3,539,752,000 RPMs recorded for the same period in 1997.
Through October, total 1998 ASMs were 4,728,394,000, an increase of 4.0 percent from 4,547,029,000 ASMs recorded for the first 10 months in 1997.
Average 1998 systemwide Load Factor through October was 76.8 percent, a decrease of 1.0 point from 77.8 percent for the same period in 1997.
Hawaiian carried a total of 4,403,757 passengers during the first 10 months of 1998, an increase of 0.1 percent from 4,397,880 carried during the same period in 1997.
