HONOLULU, November 13, 1997 -- In systemwide service during October 1997, Hawaiian Airlines recorded Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs) of 327,129,000, an increase of 7.4 percent from 304,637,000 RPMs reported for the same month in 1996.
Available Seat Miles (ASMs) in October 1997 were 420,046,000, a decrease of 1.9 percent from 428,139,000 ASMs recorded in October 1996.
Systemwide Load Factor (LF) in October 1997 was 77.9 percent, an increase of 6.7 points from 71.2 percent in October 1996.
Hawaiian carried 411,518 passengers in October 1997, an increase of 4.3 percent from 394,424 passengers reported for October 1996.
Cargo Ton Miles (CTMs) flown in October 1997 were 4,412,000, a decrease of 0.6 percent from 4,436,000 flown in October 1996.

For the first 10 months of 1997, Hawaiian recorded total RPMs of 3,539,752,000, an increase of 10.4 percent from 3,206,389,000 RPMs recorded for the same period in 1996.
Through October, total 1997 ASMs were 4,547,030,000, an increase of 7.0 percent from 4,249,812,000 ASMs recorded for the first 10 months in 1996.
Average 1997 systemwide Load Factor through October was 77.8 percent, an increase of 3.4 points from 75.4 percent for the same period last year.
Hawaiian carried a total of 4,397,880 passengers during the first 10 months of 1997, an increase of 1.8 percent from 4,321,370 carried during the same period in 1996.
Cargo Ton Miles through October were 46,808,000, an increase of 14.3 percent from 40,964,000 for the first 10 months of 1996.
