HONOLULU, October 13, 1999 -- In systemwide service during September 1999, Hawaiian Airlines recorded Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs) of 377,389,000, an increase of 8.1 percent from 349,271,000 RPMs reported for the same month in 1998.
Available Seat Miles (ASMs) in September 1999 were 526,816,000, an increase of 14.0 percent from 462,202,000 ASMs recorded in September 1998.
Systemwide Load Factor (LF) in September 1999 was 71.6 percent, a decrease of 4.0 points from 75.6 percent in September 1998.
Hawaiian carried 433,595 passengers in September 1999, an increase of 7.9 percent from 401,709 passengers reported for September 1998.
Third Quarter
For the quarter ended September 30, 1999, Hawaiian recorded total RPMs of 1,318,710,000, an increase of 13.8 percent from 1,158,677,000 RPMs recorded for the same quarter in 1998.
During the third quarter of 1999, total ASMs were 1,642,412,000, an increase of 13.6 percent from 1,445,875,000 ASMs recorded during the same period in 1998.
Average 1999 systemwide Load Factor for the third quarter was 80.3 percent, an increase of 0.2 point from 80.1 percent for the same period in 1998.
Hawaiian carried a total of 1,530,388 passengers during the third quarter of 1999, an increase of 9.8 percent from 1,393,262 carried during the same quarter in 1998.
Year-to-date
For the first nine months of 1999, Hawaiian recorded total RPMs of 3,618,160,000, an increase of 10.9 percent from 3,263,412,000 RPMs recorded for the same period in 1998.
Through September, total 1999 ASMs were 4,655,210,000, an increase of 9.6 percent from 4,248,428,000 ASMs recorded for the first nine months in 1998.
Average 1999 systemwide Load Factor through September was 77.7 percent, an increase of 0.9 point from 76.8 percent for the same period in 1998.
Hawaiian carried a total of 4,294,052 passengers during the first nine months of 1999, an increase of 8.1 percent from 3,972,573 carried during the same period in 1998.
