HONOLULU – November 13, 2013 – Hawaiian Airlines has once again recorded the highest marks for best on-time performance among the nation’s 16 largest carriers in September, as reported today by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT).
Hawaiian Airlines’ flights arrived on schedule 95.5 percent of the time throughout the month of September 2013. In addition, the DOT reported that Hawaiian Airlines was one of the top two airlines with fewest flight cancellations for September at 0.1 percent, representing four cancellations out of 5,831 total flights.
Hawaiian Airlines provides daily nonstop service to Hawai‘i from 11 gateway cities in North America – more cities than any other carrier – using Airbus A330-200 and Boeing 767-300 aircraft, making it the only carrier to offer wide-body, twin-aisle aircraft for all transpacific flights.
Hawai‘i’s largest and longest-serving carrier is also the leading provider of air service between the islands of Hawai‘i.

About Hawaiian Airlines
Hawaiian Airlines has led all U.S. carriers in on-time performance for each of the past nine years (2004-2012) as reported by the U.S. Department of Transportation. Consumer surveys by Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure and Zagat have all ranked Hawaiian the highest of all domestic airlines serving Hawai‘i.
Now in its 84th year of continuous service, Hawaiian is Hawai‘i’s biggest and longest-serving airline, as well as the largest provider of passenger air service from its primary visitor markets on the U.S. mainland. Hawaiian offers non-stop service to Hawai‘i from more U.S. gateway cities (11) than any other airline, along with service from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, American Samoa, and Tahiti. New non-stop service will begin between Honolulu and Beijing, China in April 2014, subject to government approval. Hawaiian also provides approximately 160 jet flights daily between the Hawaiian Islands.
