Hawaiian Airlines To Add Second Daily Seattle Flight, March 1

HONOLULU, January 20, 2004 -- It will be twice as easy for Seattle-area residents to get to Hawaii on Hawaiian Airlines starting March 1, when Hawaii's largest airline increases its nonstop flights between Seattle and Honolulu to twice daily.

Hawaiian's new Flight 23 will depart Seattle daily at 11:05 a.m. and arrive in Honolulu at 3:20 p.m. Return Flight 24 will depart Honolulu at 4:00 p.m. and arrive in Seattle at 11:30 p.m.

"We've been watching the weather forecasts and hearing the pleas of thousands of cold, wet and snow-bound folks in the Pacific Northwest. It's warm and sunny in Hawaii and we want to make it easier for everyone to escape winter," said Mark Dunkerley, president and chief operating officer.

Hawaiian will use its Boeing 767-300ER wide-body aircraft for the added service, providing 252 seats in two-class service with the comfort and convenience of a 2-3-2 seating configuration that offers either window or aisle seating to 86 percent of the passengers.

Hawaiian has provided daily nonstop flights between Seattle and Honolulu since 1986.

In addition, Hawaiian offers daily nonstop flights between Seattle and Maui, the only carrier to provide this service.
