Hawaiian Airlines Tops for On-Time, Fewest Cancellations in February

HONOLULU – April 08, 2010 - Hawaiian Airlines finished February as the nation’s top-ranked carrier for on-time performance and fewest flight cancellations, according to the monthly

Air Travel Consumer Report issued today by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT).

 

Hawaiian had an industry-best 88.2 percent of its flights arrive as scheduled in February, along with an industry-low score of 0.3 percent for fewest cancelled flights to rank first in both categories. In addition, Hawaiian ranked second overall for fewest misplaced bags during February, reporting 1.89 mishandled baggage reports for every 1,000 passengers served.

 

Hawaiian is the nation’s largest provider of air service to Hawaii from the Western U.S., as well as the leading carrier for interisland service between the islands of Hawaii.
