Codeshare Flights Between North America, Hawai'i and South East Asia Now on Sale for Travel on or After Dec. 15, 2013
HONOLULU - Dec. 2, 2013 - Hawaiian Airlines, the state's flag carrier, and China Airlines, the largest airline of Taiwan, today announced that members of both frequent flyer programs, HawaiianMiles and Dynasty Flyer, are able to earn or redeem miles on either carrier for systemwide travel beginning Dec. 15, 2013. The airlines' bilateral codeshare flights, now on sale, allow for seamless booking and check-in on a single ticket for travel between North America, Hawai'i and multiple destinations throughout Asia.
"Through our partnership with China Airlines, we are extending our network and increasing the value of HawaiianMiles to allow members to earn miles and access award travel to more than 15 new cities around the world that Hawaiian doesn't currently serve," said Vicki Nakata, Hawaiian's managing director of partnerships and travel products. "We look forward to welcoming a new stream of Dynasty Flyer members onboard to experience our signature onboard hospitality."
Earlier this year, Hawaiian began new non-stop service from Honolulu to Taipei, its seventh Asian gateway destination, with service three days weekly on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Through the codeshare agreement, Hawaiian will now place its two-letter "HA" booking code on the following China Airlines-operated flights:
