Hawaiian Announces Start Dates, Begins Ticket Sales for New Seoul Flights - New Korean-Language Website Introduced at www.HawaiianAirlines.co.kr

HONOLULU – Aug. 25, 2010 – Hawaiian Airlines announced today the start of ticket sales for its new nonstop flights between Honolulu and South Korea’s Seoul-Incheon International Airport, which will commence with the inaugural departure from Honolulu on January 12, 2011. The inaugural return flight from Incheon takes place January 14.

Mark Dunkerley, Hawaiian’s president and chief executive officer, commented, “We look forward to offering travelers from Korea a new and enjoyable flight experience in the tradition of Hawaiian hospitality so they may feel that their Hawaii vacation has started the moment they check in for our flight.”

Hawaiian has launched a new Korean-language website at www.HawaiianAirlines.co.kr. Like its English-language site, Hawaiian’s new Korean-language site provides customers with an easy-to-use booking engine to purchase tickets for the Incheon-Honolulu flights, as well as the other destinations that Hawaiian serves in Hawaii, the Western United States, and internationally.

Highlights of the new website include the following:

• Travel guide information in Korean language for each of the Hawaiian Islands to help

travelers in making their vacation plans.

• Regular updates and information about Hawaiian’s airfare specials and service provided via email to customers who sign up online.

• The ability to make ticket purchases online using credit cards issued from Korea,

including VISA, MasterCard, and American Express.

• Customers can review their flight information and travel itinerary online in Korean.

Current HawaiianMiles frequent flyer members can immediately start earning and redeeming mileage award benefits on the new flights between Honolulu and Incheon, which covers approximately 4,500 miles one-way. HawaiianMiles membership enrollment via the Korean website will be offered in the coming weeks.

Tickets for the new Incheon flights can be purchased online at either the new Korean-language site or Hawaiian’s English-language site, www.HawaiianAirlines.com.

Hawaiian designed its flight schedule so that travelers flying from Incheon would have the convenience of departing for vacation after completing a full day of work, and arriving in time to enjoy their first afternoon in Hawaii and make easy flight connections to the Neighbor Islands.

Flight #459 will depart Honolulu International Airport four times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 1:20 p.m. and arrive at Seoul-Incheon International Airport at 8:05 p.m. the following day. Return Flight #460 will depart Incheon on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 10:00 p.m. and arrive in Honolulu at 11:00 a.m. the same day. (South Korea is 19 hours ahead of Honolulu

and the flight crosses the International Dateline.)

Hawaiian will initially operate the route with its twin-aisle, wide-body Boeing 767-300ER aircraft seating 264 passengers. Customers will enjoy Hawaiian’s signature “Hawaii Starts Here” onboard service, which is being customized for Korean travelers and will be provided by a bilingual flight crew.

Hawaiian’s four-times weekly service will add more than 54,000 new air seats annually to Hawaii from South Korea’s largest metropolitan area with a population of more than 11 million people. Hawaiian plans to increase service on the new route in conjunction with its ongoing long-range fleet expansion.

South Korea represents the second of two major service expansions by Hawaiian into Asia over an upcoming two-month period. On November 17, 2010, Hawaiian will launch daily nonstop service between Honolulu and Tokyo’s Haneda Airport. Last week, Hawaiian introduced a new Japanese-language website, www.HawaiianAirlines.co.jp, in anticipation of the impending start of ticket sales.

In addition, Hawaiian offers its customers the travel benefits of booking flights to other selected destinations in Asia served by Korean Air through the recently expanded code share agreement between the two carriers allowing them to jointly market their service. More code share destinations in Asia for Hawaiian’s customers are being added in the coming months. Customers of Korean Air can book flights operated by Hawaiian within the islands of Hawaii, as well as between Hawaii and the 10 gateway cities Hawaiian serves in the Western United States.
