WAILUKU, MAUI – Oct. 05, 2010 - Hawaiian Airlines has launched its first-ever nonstop flights between Maui and Las Vegas, bringing new convenience to a favorite getaway for island residents.
Hawaiian is now serving the Maui-Las Vegas route twice weekly with its twin-aisle, wide-body Boeing 767-300 aircraft seating up to 264 passengers, with 18 seats in First Class and the remainder in Coach Class. The new service adds 2,000 seats per month to the route.
Hawaiian initiated the new service in response to demand from Maui residents and designed the flight schedule for their convenience, with departure and arrival times that allow them to make the most of their stay in Las Vegas.
Flight #32 departs Maui’s Kahului Airport on Mondays and Thursdays at 8:00 a.m. and arrives at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas at 4:35 p.m., giving island residents enough time to enjoy a full evening in Las Vegas their first day.
Flight #31 departs Las Vegas on Sundays and Wednesdays at 6:25 p.m. and arrives on Maui at 9:25 p.m., allowing residents to enjoy a full final vacation day in Las Vegas before arriving home for a good night’s sleep.
(The Las Vegas departure and arrival times will be approximately one hour earlier when Daylight Saving Time ends next month.)

About Hawaiian Airlines
Hawaiian is the nation’s highest-ranked carrier for service quality and performance in 2009 in the 20th annual Airline Quality Rating study, having earned that distinction in three of the past four years. Hawaiian has also led all U.S. carriers in on-time performance for each of the past six years (2004-2009) and has been an industry leader in fewest misplaced bags during that same period (#1 from 2005-2007, #2 in 2008 and 2009) as reported by the U.S. Department of Transportation. Consumer surveys by Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure and Zagat have all ranked Hawaiian the top domestic airline offering flights to Hawaii.
Now in its 81st year of continuous service for Hawaii, Hawaiian is the state’s biggest and longest-serving airline, as well as the largest provider of passenger air service to Hawaii from the state’s primary visitor markets on the U.S. mainland. Hawaiian offers nonstop service to Hawaii from more U.S. gateway cities (10) than any other airline, as well as service to the Philippines, Australia, American Samoa, Tahiti, and, in the coming months, Japan and South Korea. Hawaiian also provides more than 150 daily jet flights between the Hawaiian Islands.
