HONOLULU – May 11, 2010 - Hawaiian Airlines continued its industry-leading service reliability in March, scoring the highest rankings in both on-time performance and fewest flight cancellations, according to the monthly
Air Travel Consumer Report issued today by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT).
Hawaiian’s dependability at keeping customers on schedule was evident by the fact that 90.2 percent of its flights arrived on time during March, while being nearly perfect with the reporting of only one flight cancellation out of 5,453 total flights. This marked the sixth consecutive month that Hawaiian has been the top-ranked carrier in both categories.

The DOT also ranked Hawaiian second overall nationally in fewest oversales, or passengers denied boarding, for the first quarter producing a score of 0.14 percent for every 10,000 passengers carried (oversales results are reported quarterly).
Hawaiian is the nation’s largest provider of air service to Hawaii from the Western U.S., as well as the leading carrier for interisland service between the islands of Hawaii.
