HONOLULU – February 13, 2013 - Travelers flying to Hawaii from Portland, Oregon and Oakland, California will have more opportunities to plan their vacation in the coming months with Hawaiian Airlines’ announcement today that it is increasing seat capacity from both gateway cities.
Portland-Honolulu Flights Upgrading to A330
Starting May 10, Hawaiian will add seat and cargo-carrying capacity to its Portland-Honolulu service with the introduction of its largest aircraft, the wide-body, twin-aisle Airbus A330-200.
The transition from Hawaiian’s 264-seat Boeing 767-300 aircraft to its 294-seat A330 will add nearly 11,000 new air seats to the route annually. In addition, the A330 will increase Hawaiian’s cargo capacity on the route by 25 percent.
Hawaiian’s Flight HA 25 departs Portland International Airport daily at 10:05 a.m. and arrives at Honolulu International Airport at 1:00 p.m. The return flight HA 26 departs Honolulu at 2:35 p.m. and arrives in Portland at 11:05 p.m.
Oakland-Honolulu Flights Going Daily
From June 15 through October 3, Hawaiian will increase its service between Oakland and Honolulu to daily flights from four days weekly.
Hawaiian will continue to operate the Oakland-Honolulu route using its roomy wide-body, twin-aisle Boeing 767-300 aircraft seating 264 passengers. By increasing to daily flights, Hawaiian is adding more than 41,000 new air seats annually from the Bay Area.
Starting in June, Hawaiian’s Flight HA 47 will depart Oakland International Airport daily at 9:55 a.m. and arrive at Honolulu International Airport at 12:10 p.m. The return flight HA 48 will depart Honolulu at 1:25 p.m. and arrive in Oakland at 9:40 p.m.

Hawaiian continues to be the only carrier serving Hawai‘i from the U.S. mainland that offers the comfort and roominess of wide-body, twin-aisle aircraft for all of its flights.
