HONOLULU – September 06, 2011 - Hawaiian Airlines is expanding its Bay Area service to the beautiful island of Maui, with the company’s first-ever launch of nonstop flights from San José, three days weekly, starting January 2012.
Glenn Taniguchi, Hawaiian’s senior vice president of marketing and sales, noted, “We know how popular Maui is for South Bay residents so our new nonstop service from San José will let them make the most of their vacation, while relaxing with the best, most enjoyable inflight experience offered to Hawaii. Our special low introductory fares make this a particularly good time to save money and plan that winter vacation to Maui.”
Hawaiian will operate the San José – Maui flights using its wide-body, twin-aisle Boeing 767-300 aircraft, offering travelers of the route unmatched comfort and spacious interiors. Highlighting the flight experience is Hawaiian’s award-winning “Hawaii Flies With Us” inflight hospitality program, which treats passengers to the islands’ diversity of culture, people and natural beauty throughout the trip.
San José – Maui Schedule
Starting Tuesday, January 10, 2012, Hawaiian Flight 46 will depart Maui’s Kahului Airport on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 1:25 p.m. and arrive at Mineta San José International Airport at 8:25 p.m. Return Flight 45 will depart San José on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 8:10 a.m. and arrive at Maui at 11:45 a.m.
Special Introductory Fares
To celebrate the launch of its San José – Maui service, Hawaiian is offering a special introductory roundtrip fare of $298.40 (plus applicable fees) for travel between January 10 and March 14, 2012. Tickets must be purchased by September 14, 2011.
Convenient Kona Connection
Hawaiian’s San José-Maui flight is also giving South Bay travelers a convenient alternative to visit Kona on Hawaii Island. In conjunction with its special introductory fare, Hawaiian is offering Kona-bound travelers the cost-saving option of flying to Kona via a flight connection on Maui at no extra charge. Hawaiian also offers convenient flight connections from Maui to Honolulu, Lihue, Kauai, and Hilo on Hawaii Island at regular rates.
