HONOLULU – August 09, 2011 - Hawaiian Airlines led the nation in June as the best on-time airline with 93.1 percent of its flights arriving on schedule – exceeding the industry average by 16.2 percentage points – according to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s monthly (DOT)
Air Travel Consumer Report.
Hawaiian also ranked second in the industry for fewest oversales, or passengers denied boarding, for the second quarter at 0.04 percent for every 10,000 passengers, as well as through the first two quarters at 0.03 percent per 10,000 passengers (DOT reports oversales quarterly.)
Hawaiian Airlines is the largest provider of air service to Hawaii from the Western U.S., as well as the leading carrier for interisland service between the islands of Hawaii.
