Hawaiian Offers $24.99 Interisland Fare for September – Guaranteed

HONOLULU – Aug. 24, 2009 - In response to a competitor’s fare sale, Hawaiian Airlines is offering a guaranteed special fare of $24.99 for any interisland flight during September.

“Our guaranteed fare is easier on the checkbook because you pay as you go without having to commit a lot of money upfront,” said Glenn Taniguchi, Hawaiian’s senior vice president of marketing and sales, adding, “plus you can earn discounts to Vegas and other West Coast cities we serve through our ‘Mainland Madness’ promotion.”

The guaranteed $24.99 fare is available to HawaiianMiles members only. Members must register online at HawaiianAirlines.com by August 31, 2009, to receive the special discount. Membership is free and customers can sign up online.

Reservations can be made anytime, with travel taking place from September 1-30, 2009. Up to seven passengers can travel on the same reservation under the special rate. There are no blackout dates. The special fare does not include taxes and security fees.

As an added bonus, customers using Hawaiian’s guaranteed $24.99 fare will earn a minimum 500 miles for each one-way interisland flight, and will also qualify for discounts on transpacific flights through Hawaiian’s “Mainland Madness” promotion by booking flights either before 10:00 a.m. or after 2:00 p.m.
Under the promotion, one interisland roundtrip earns a 10 percent discount off a ticket to the mainland, two roundtrips earns 20 percent off and so on until 10 roundtrips earn a free roundtrip ticket to any mainland city served by Hawaiian. Travel to the mainland must be completed by June 10, 2010
