Hawaiian Offers Special Summer Fares Between Maui and Oakland, San Diego

HONOLULU – February 08, 2010 - To celebrate the launch of its two new daily, nonstop flights this summer connecting Maui with Oakland and San Diego, Hawaiian Airlines today announced special introductory fares are being offered on a limited time basis at

HawaiianAirlines.com.

 

Roundtrip summer airfares are now available at $428 – a substantial savings from normal fare levels during the peak summer travel season – and can be purchased through February 19, 2010.

 

The special introductory rate is good for travel from June 17 through September 6 between Maui and Oakland, and from June 17 through August 24 between Maui and San Diego.

 

“These special airfares are a great opportunity to plan ahead and save money on that summer vacation on Maui,” said Glenn Taniguchi, Hawaiian’s senior vice president of marketing and sales.

 

The new flight between Oakland and Maui is a first for Hawaiian. Starting June 17, Flight #23 will depart Oakland daily at 12:20 p.m. and arrive on Maui at 2:20 p.m. Return Flight #24 will depart Maui daily at 9:35 p.m. and arrive in Oakland the following morning at 5:30 a.m.

 

Also on June 17, Hawaiian will begin service between San Diego and Maui for the first time since summer 2008. Flight #37 will depart San Diego daily at 10:35 a.m. and arrive on Maui at 1:05 p.m. Return Flight #38 will depart Maui at 10:30 p.m. and arrive in San Diego at 6:35 a.m. the following morning.

 

Tickets at the special introductory rate must be booked online at HawaiianAirlines.com and are based on roundtrip travel during weekdays. The special fare is subject to availability and may not be offered on all flights. Taxes, fees and other restrictions apply.
