Hawaiian Ranks #1 for On-Time, Fewest Cancellations in May

HONOLULU – July 08, 2010 - For the eighth consecutive month, Hawaiian Airlines was the nation’s top-ranked carrier in May for both on-time performance and fewest flight cancellations, as reported today by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) monthly

Air Travel Consumer Report.

 

Hawaiian ranked #1 among all airlines for punctuality during May with 94.3 percent of its flights arriving as scheduled.

 

In addition, Hawaii’s largest and longest-serving airline was close to perfect in fewest cancelled flights for May with only one cancellation out of 5,511 total flights, also ranking it #1 in the industry.

 

Hawaiian also had the nation’s second highest ranking for fewest misplaced bags during May, having recorded 1.82 mishandled baggage reports for every 1,000 passengers served.

 

Hawaiian Airlines is the largest provider of air service to Hawaii from the Western U.S., as well as the leading carrier for interisland service between the islands of Hawaii.
