HONOLULU – April 05, 2011 - Hawaiian Airlines scored the airline industry’s best rankings for on-time performance and fewest flight cancellations in February, according to the monthly
Air Travel Consumer Report issued today by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT).
Hawaiian had 91.8 percent of its flights arrive as scheduled during February, which the DOT reported was 17.3 percentage points better than the industry average. In addition, Hawaiian topped all carriers in the category of fewest cancelled flights at 0.1 percent, the result of having only six cancellations out of 5,052 total flights during the month.
Hawaiian Airlines is the largest provider of air service to Hawaii from the Western U.S., as well as the leading carrier for interisland service between the islands of Hawaii.
