HONOLULU – June 23, 2012 - Hawaiian Airlines is ranked highest of all domestic carriers serving Hawai‘i in the 2012 ‘World’s Best Awards’ announced by Travel + Leisure magazine, one of the travel industry’s most popular and respected publications.
Travel + Leisure’s readers determined the rankings of domestic carriers nationwide by responding to a survey in which they were asked to rate the airlines’ performance in four categories prized by travelers: cabin comfort, inflight service, customer service, and value.
“Travel + Leisure’s readers are discerning travelers, so we are very pleased about the weight of their collective opinion regarding our service excellence,” said Peter Ingram, Hawaiian’s executive vice president and chief commercial officer.
“We are devoted to showcasing the qualities that make Hawai‘i uniquely wonderful and are committed to offering the most pleasant Hawai‘i travel experience in the marketplace.”
Travelers on all of Hawaiian’s flights are treated to its signature ‘Hawai‘i Flies With Us’ onboard service celebrating the culture, natural beauty, people, and Aloha Spirit of Hawai‘i. Every flight features the sights, sounds, tastes and authentic Hawaiian hospitality of the islands.
Highlights that distinguish Hawaiian’s inflight service from other carriers include complimentary meals for all passengers, beautiful Hawaiian music as part of the entertainment offerings, the award-winning Hana Hou! magazine and the airline’s exclusive Hawaiian Skies video magazine profiling places, people and sites to see in Hawai‘i, and special made-in-Hawai‘i snacks for purchase.
Hawaiian ranked third overall in the category of domestic carriers. The results of this and other categories ranked by Travel + Leisure’s readers, such as resorts, hotels, and cruise lines, are being published in the magazine’s August issue.
