Hawaiian Rated Hawaii’s Best for 9th Straight Year – Travel + Leisure

HONOLULU – Aug. 8, 2007 - Reflecting its excellence in service, Hawaiian Airlines is ranked as the nation's top airline serving Hawaii by Travel + Leisure magazine in the 2007 World's Best Awards – the ninth consecutive year Hawaiian has earned this honor.

Mark Dunkerley, Hawaiian's president and CEO, noted that the airline's distinctive “Hawaii Starts Here” in-flight service showcasing the islands' culture, people and natural beauty has secured Hawaii's biggest and longest-serving carrier a strong following.

“Our employees have earned Hawaiian this award by giving customers the kind of uniquely refreshing in-flight experience one would expect when flying Hawaii's flagship carrier,” said Dunkerley.

Earlier this year, Travel + Leisure invited its readership to rate airlines based on cabin comfort, food, in-flight service, customer service, and value. Hawaiian ranked third overall nationally behind Midwest Airlines and JetBlue Airways. One of the travel industry's most popular publications, Travel + Leisure published the results for its World Best Awards in the August issue, ranking the best hotels, airlines, cruise lines, tour outfitters, car rental agencies, cities islands worldwide.
