Machinists Union Ratifies Contract With Hawaiian Airlines

HONOLULU, October 29, 2001 -- Hawaiian Airlines, Inc. (AMEX and PCX: HA) and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) announced today that the airline's 1,700 mechanics, airport and accounting staff represented by IAM have ratified their new contract. Provisions of the 43-month agreement took effect October 1, 2001.

Hawaiian Airlines had previously reached agreements this year on new contracts with its pilots' union, the Air Line Pilots Association (effective January 1, 2001), its flight attendants' union, the Association of Flight Attendants (effective May 1, 2001), and its dispatchers' union, the Transport Workers Union (effective July 1, 2001).
