HONOLULU – Two national travel surveys issued this month on domestic airline quality by Condé Nast Traveler magazine and Zagat Survey have both ranked Hawaiian Airlines higher than any other carrier offering service to Hawaii.
Mark Dunkerley, Hawaiian's president and CEO, commented, “Having sophisticated travelers nationwide rank us as one of the best carriers is a real honor. I'm proud of how our employees have made Hawaiian the traveler's first choice to Hawaii.”
Condé Nast Traveler published its 2005 Readers' Choice Awards in November, which tabulated the results of 28,000 survey respondents. Airlines were rated on the basis of cabin comfort, cabin service, entertainment options, food and beverages, and ticketing and ground services. Overall, Hawaiian ranked as the seventh best domestic airline – higher than any other carrier serving Hawaii.
Zagat Survey, the world's leading provider of consumer survey-based dining travel and leisure information, issued its findings on airlines this month using the opinions of more than 5,000 travelers nationwide. Respondents, who averaged 15 flights per year, rated airlines on their comfort, service, food, and website. Hawaiian ranked as the nation's sixth best domestic carrier – also higher than any other carrier serving Hawaii.
