New Hawaiian Airlines Website Blends Rich Services, Island Beauty

A revamped HawaiianAirlines.com integrates seamless navigation and ease of booking with travel tips and breathtaking island scenery

HONOLULU – Hawaiian Airlines today officially launched its new website – HawaiianAirlines.com – offering customers simplified navigation, convenient booking features and rich travel content set against a clean backdrop of Hawai‘i’s spectacular scenic beauty. The site delivers an intuitive online experience and valuable new services such as weeklong fare holds, a robust HawaiianMiles dashboard and Island Guides filled with insider tips to help customers plan and customize their Hawai‘i getaway.

“This launch marks the completion of a major investment in our customer experience. We are justifiably proud of our award-winning in-flight service, and we’ve tried to design a digital presence that is as welcoming, comfortable, and filled with aloha as the rest of our experience,” said Avi Mannis, senior vice president for marketing at Hawaiian Airlines.

Users browsing the online Island Guides are able to explore the diverse characters of Hawaiian’s destinations, from O‘ahu’s striking cosmopolitan culture and natural beauty, to Kaua‘i’s untouched splendor and Maui’s blend of charm and modern-day excitement. Locally-written tips let customers plan activities, sightseeing and must-visit restaurants on each island – matching their personal interests to the best Hawai‘i has to offer.

Streamlined and flexible booking allows customers to conveniently check available seats earlier in the process and lock fares for three to seven days. Site visitors may easily customize their trip to build an entire vacation, including ground transportation and hotel accommodations, and add their fellow travelers on an itinerary. For HawaiianMiles members, a comprehensive My Account Dashboard brings one-stop access to all their information, including status, goals and progress, statements and receipts.

Hawaiian partnered with design and technology firm Nurun to develop and adapt site offerings based on customer feedback, as well as their travel and booking preferences and needs.

“We are really excited that Hawaiian’s guests from around the world can now utilize this site. We wanted to create a digital experience that would reflect not only the unique beauty of Hawaii, but celebrate the aloha spirit and heritage of Hawaiian Airlines,” said Albert Poon, executive design director at Nurun. “The site is built around an innovative flight and vacation booking tool that allows guests to tune their Hawaiian adventure to their desires.”

Additional features at HawaiianAirlines.com also alert customers to exclusive discounts, allow them to preview in-flight entertainment such as movie trailers, browse complimentary menus of island-inspired dishes, and look at cabin choices and upgrades. In coming months, new and exciting services will be added to further enrich the booking experience.

The new HawaiianAirlines.com, along with enhanced amenities such as Extra Comfort seating, complimentary meals designed by renowned island chefs and renovated airport lounges are all part of Hawaiian's commitment to providing guests with a relaxing travel experience and authentic Hawaiian hospitality.
