HONOLULU, May 16, 1997 -- In systemwide service during April 1997, Hawaiian Airlines recorded Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs) of 367,360,000, an increase of 16.0 percent from 324,353,000 RPMs reported for the same month in 1996.
Available Seat Miles (ASMs) in April 1997 were 468,192,000, an increase of 13.6 percent from 412,018,000 ASMs recorded in April 1996.
Systemwide Load Factor (LF) in April 1997 was 80.4 percent, an increase of 1.7 points from 78.7 percent in April 1996.
Hawaiian carried 441,765 passengers in April 1997, an increase of 2.2 percent from 432,210 passengers reported for April 1996.
Cargo Ton Miles (CTMs) flown in April 1997 were 5,410,000, an increase of 28.1 percent from 4,225,000 flown in April 1996.

For the first three months of 1997, Hawaiian recorded total RPM's of 1,355,433,000, an increase of 7.6 percent from 1,259,811,000 RPM's recorded for the same period in 1996.
Through April, total 1997 ASM's were 1,848,828,000, an increase of 11.6 percent from 1,656,310,000 ASM's recorded for the first four months in 1996.
Average 1997 systemwide Load Factor through April was 73.3 percent, a decrease of 2.8 points from 76.1 percent for the same period last year.
Hawaiian carried a total of 1,737,695 passengers during the first four months of 1997, a decrease of 0.5 percent from 1,747,046 carried during the same period in 1996.
Cargo Ton Miles through April were 18,860,000, an increase of 18.8 percent from 15,875,000 for the first four months of 1996.
